Dear Creatifuls!

So excited to announce we have a few spaces, perhaps for YOUR daughter, at our next Creative G I R L SUMMER Playshop!!!

The SUMMER playshop offers an opportunity for girls ages 9 to 14ish to play, journal, and create through expressive art projects, music and sunshine, with activities outdoors engaged in nature. Creative GIRL nurtures girls’ creativity, acts of kindness (to themselves and others) and their unique voices and gifts.

July 12th to 14th 2016, 10 am to 3 pm. (tues-thurs)
~Closing Circle at 2:30 on final day
Moms and/or Dads invited as you can~
12 4 openings at this time

Cost $130 per girl*, includes all supplies except bagged lunch, personal photos and a few other items girls will be asked to find in nature or the recycle bin, prior to coming. (Full list will be provided via email prior to playshop.)  Playshops held in Raleigh, near 540 Louisburg Road exit.

*If your daughter wants to experience Creative GIRL and your family is financially challenged, please contact me for more information about our gift-what-you-can scholarships.  No girl will be denied Creative GIRL due to her family’s financial situation. Your daughter is more important than my profit. (We are grateful to receive financial donations to sponsor girls’ participation via paypal link on right.)

Hooray… a Creative GIRL Fall playshop

Dear Creatifuls,

I’m super excited to announce we will have a ღ Creative GIRL ღ playshop for girls ages 9 to 14 during the last week of track out, Monday October 5th through Wednesday October 7th from 10 am to 2 pm in Northeast Raleigh. We’ll gather to play with clay, experiment with bookmaking, make jewelry, paint AND generate a fun and thoughtful kindness campaign. For more information and to register visit this linky.

Suggested registration is $125 per girl. There is also a creative pay-what-you-can scholarship option that will not alienate girls due to financial constraints.

Creative GIRL was created in 2013 to provide a safe and unique experience for girls to gather outside of family and school to share and listen, to honor creativity, self and otherly kindness, expression and empowerment. a mighty creative secret

There is something so special and wonderful about sharing a secret with a friend; a secret that revolves around love, joy and surprises, planned for people unawares! Do you know that feeling? You know… like planning a surprise party for someone you love, and they have NO idea all the details you’ve been planning and thinking and dancing to life for their DELIGHT. Well, I’ve had such a secret with a dear friend of mine, and the surpriseEEEE may be YOU.

And then there is the moment when the secret begins to reveal. Ahhhhhhhhhh! Well, we are now ready to tell you a little bit about. The creatiful nutshell of it all is that my beautiful friend–artist and activist Wendy Cook of Mighty Girl Art–and I are co-creating a retreat experience for YOU and your mother. (If you are a Mama of a Creative GIRL then it’s for YOU and your daughter.)

Many more details shall be revealed, but for now I will share that art, creativity, laughter and ancient trees are involved. Just you WAIT!!! I can’t tell you where just yet, but offer you the date… July 9th to 12th, 2015.

Oh, and our secret’s name? Mighty Creative Adventure…. but of course because that is what you get when you combine Mighty Girl with Creative Girl: MIGHTY CREATIVE!
